Anna Caroline & Riley | SPRING GARDEN WEDDING AT CAMELOT MANOR

Elegant. Genuine. Personal.

Anna Caroline and Riley met through mutual friends and family. Anna Caroline had just started a new job and Riley’s sister Sara Beth, a co-worker, immediately tried to set them both up. Riley contacted Anna Caroline shortly afterwards and the two have been inseparable since!

One of the most important things to me while photographing a wedding is building a relationship with the couple. I taught several years with Anna Caroline. I’ve known Riley and his family since he was in high school and love them dearly. This wedding for me was incredible to be a small part in.

Camelot Manor was the most perfect venue for Anna Caroline and Riley’s wedding day. The home was built in 1880 and sits only 30 minutes from downtown Birmingham. The classic architecture of the home offers elegance and southern charm to any wedding day. The most incredible part of this venue is the open pavilion behind the home.

Anna Caroline and Riley truly brought out their personalities through the small details of their day. Anna Caroline wore pearls that were gifted to her from her grandmother in high school. Her something “borrowed” was a cathedral length veil that her sister wore on her wedding day. Riley wore cuff links that belonged to Anna Caroline’s grandfather. He also made sure to wear the same cologne he wore on their first date. The couple gifted their loved ones with custom handkerchiefs. Lastly, Anna Caroline and Riley also gifted each other very sentimental items. Anna Caroline, while she was in college and single, bought a tie for her future husband to serve as a reminder of God’s faithfulness. She gave this tie to Riley right before their first look. Riley in return, gifted Anna Caroline a bible and had her new name embossed on the front.

The entire day was met with sweet moments, close friends, and laughter. Anna Caroline and Riley are very loved and their wedding day was just evidence of that. So many of their friends and family traveled from all over just to celebrate! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Phillips!
