"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Mathew 28:19-20
Dakota. I met her through her impeccable talent and through the grace of God. Have you ever been around one those types of people that radiate? The type of person that just has something that you can't explain? That's Dakota. And she has Jesus.
Two weeks ago, I spontaneously met Dakota for lunch at one of my favorite spots in Birmingham, Post Office Pies. She greeted me with a giant hug and as we sat down the conversation immediately turned to Jesus. Two things I love, Jesus and Pizza.
I asked Dakota how life was...a generic but not so generic question. I meant it. She went on a mission trip to India not too long ago and it changed her life. She explained that she felt led to invest her life into some type of mission work. Truly inspiring. However, as she was explaining what the Lord revealed to her, something she said struck me. We were talking about being "called" into ministry and how the word "called" is used so lightly.
God commands. He commands us to go. He commands us to share.
Dakota got so excited talking about being commanded to go into the world. It was great to watch her face light up. So, thanks Dakota for the chat. It was inspiring and lifting. And you'll probably kill me for talking about you so much. - L
P.S. See her work here.
